I made this particular book shrine because of a discussion between the other staffers at the now defunct, Project Kenaz. We were deciding on a new project to work on, and the idea for book shrines came up and made perfect sense. We decided to each take on one of L.J. Smith's series and create a comprehensive book shrine. I chose The Forbidden Game, because I had just worked on a The Vampire Diaries project; Elusive Truth, a shrine/fanlisting for Meredith Sulez, and I had enjoyed reading The Forbidden Game especially the symbolic and mythological aspects of the story, such as runes, the nine worlds.
